To my children, for your endless patience with having to “be quiet” while mom works. There were some long (and silent) days in our house…you don’t know how much your understanding means to me. I love you both so much.
To Linda and Alicia, for being my first unofficial audience, and for giving me much needed criticism and feedback when it mattered most.
To my readers for choosing Heart of Stone. Whether you purchased a copy or simply followed me on Twitter, your support for an indie author is much appreciated.
And finally, to my husband…for so many things. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you. You believe in me when I am in doubt (even if it means you have to stay up until 2 A.M. reading my latest chapter edits). Your support has been immeasurable and Heart of Stone would still be a dream if you hadn’t pushed me to write. You are my love and my soul – my white picket fence. I love you, babe!
Bound by need. Entwined in secrets...
Krystina Cole was a girl on a mission. She had big dreams and aspirations, none of which included a man by her side. She knew better than that – at least until she met Alexander Stone, the New York billionaire real estate tycoon. She saw the way that he looked at her, and the dark promises in his eyes. She was curious about his world and all that it entailed. But the shadows of her past haunted her, making her afraid to explore possibilities that she could never before have imagined.
Alexander Stone was a man who knew how to get what he wanted. He understood the value of finesse, and the importance of patience and diligence to achieve the desired result. He was successful and wealthy, relying on his naturally sharp instincts to guide him through life. But a chance run in with Krystina Cole quickly turned his world upside down. Her quick wit and firecracker attitude was the complete opposite of what he wanted in a woman, and his instincts failed him at every turn.
However, both Krystina and Alexander are clinging to the secrets of their past, and neither of them are willing to compromise. Krystina’s hardened heart makes emotional surrender a hard limit. But for Alexander, revealing his past could have devastating results.

Reviews for Heart of Stone
Never in my wildest dreams did I know that self-publishing a book would be so hard. But it was also extremely rewarding. I wanted to take a minute to thank those that have made my journey to date so special.
To my fellow Indie Authors and Indie Author Supporters - some have reached out personally through various social networks, others have simply sent out tweets or shared Facebook links about my book. Everyone's willingness to help one another is truly amazing. There are too many to list individually, but I wanted to specifically mention Assaph Mehr at the Protagonist Speaks for his efforts with helping indie authors. And to H. C. Bently - no effort is too big or too small. Sometimes just a kind word makes all the difference. These individuals, as well as the rest of the community, have inspired me.
To my favorite reader, Caterina. Your questions, opinions, and caring about an unknown author meant the world to me. When I'm exhausted from the work, you remind me of all the reasons why I do it. So for that, I thank you.
And last, but not least, to my favorite book blogger - Ariel at http://alwayslovemesomebooks.blogspot.com. Thanks for letting me bounce ideas off of you! Whether it was coming up with a random Tweet, or revamping my book synopsis. Your help was appreciated more than you know! Thank you.
